Her sudden death shocked many when it was announced on Friday morning.
Aminatah died of natural causes as a result of heart failure, a source close to the singer revealed to What’s On-Gambia.
According to our source, there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding her demise.
The talented singer died a few hours after posting on her Facebook page about Jamaican superstar, Mavado’s debut appearance in the country in May 2017.
Many Gambians in the entertainment industry took to Facebook to share their disbelief and sadness.
Former Club DJ Jatow Mbowe wrote: “The Gambia lost a great soul. RIP Aminata. May Allah grant you Jannah and forgive you all your sins”
Singer Artinola commented: “Rest in peace boo Aminatah Baldeh. Still can't believe this. Gone so soon, very talented. May Allah grant you jannah ameen.”
Aminatah was about to release her newest single, “Don’t Forget Me”, when she died.
Famous Nigerian-born producer and gospel singer, B Master described her as one of the finest female singers in the Gambian music.
