Sir Dawda’s granddaughter, Inna Jawara has landed her first role in the world of acting. She will be guest starring in Season 3 of Un Café Avec.
According to reports reaching What’s On-Gambia, Inna will play the charismatic drianke that owns dozens of expensive cars and a private jet.
Un Café Avec, which is a hit TV series on Youssour Ndour’s TFM, stars famous Senegalese celebrities like DJ Boubs, Viviane Ndour, Wally Seck, Cathy Chimere Diaw and Mame Diarra Thiam.
Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, a very excited Inna said: “I'm never going to regret it because UnCafé Avecis now going worldwide. I'm doing all of this for The Gambia. So let all Gambians keep me in their prayers.”
But how was the former president’s granddaughter identified to star in the famous TV series?
“Oh okay, it all started when I was in Germany. The wife of one of the Un Café Avec directors is a good friend of mine. We went to school together in the US. She recommended me to her husband. I was never interested in acting, because I’m from a big family and no one in our family is into acting.”
Inn, who is a single, is now based in Almadies, Dakar. According to her, she wants to see more Gambians on Senegalese TV.
