Bankie Grey-Johnson wants his rap respect back!
The former rapper has dropped a new single What We Here For, which features Killa Ace and comes with an intro by veteran broadcaster Malick Jones (not the real Jones).
The single, now available online, has already received positive reviews from rap enthusiasts.
“Overall the song is a slammer. Banks your flow smooth..your wordplay virgin tight. Its time you take this ish serious, dude,” commented one Ingram Peters.
Killa Ace is happy to be part of the What We Here For single. He wrote on Facebook: “Real shit right there fam... Thanks for inviting me on such a banger.”
Bankie is one of the famous go-to people in Gambian hip hop. Over the years, he has helped young rappers like Gee and Killa Ace to take the game to the next level.
The Aku dude knows a lot about hip hop, both locally and internationally. His brother, Jeggan Grey-Johnson was one of the pioneers of Gambian hip hop.
