Somalis in the Diaspora want to offer Gambian comedian Baba Ja (Sering Thiapathioly) a Somali wife as a token of appreciation for speaking up against the deepening political crisis in their country.

In one of his recent live videos, the US-based comedian appealed to Somalis to kick out the Emiratis in their country arguing they are there to destabilise Somalia and steal all their natural resources.

The video garnered more than 93,000 views with comments from Somalis in different parts of the world. Some of them want to offer Baba Ja a wife.

Sadaam Khalil in Germany wrote: “I have a girl for you, bro. And I will give you Somali citizenship as well.”

Another Somali living in Kenya, Abdirizāk Abdūllāhi Hāssān commented: “Guys, get one girl for this man!”

Indha Cade Jr, who lives in Mogadishu also wrote: “We must give you a Somali girl.”

The famous comedian, who is followed by more than 100,000 people on Facebook, has been very vocal about his political views on Somalia in recent times.
