State politics can affect friendship ties, but for Haddy Faye, her state’s enemy who’s her friend, cannot be her enemy.

The young businesswoman  invited questions when photos emerged online, showing her "chilling" in Gothenburg, Sweden with Mama Linguere Sarr, an enemy of the state.

It seems Mama's constant attack at the Jammeh government had done very little to complicate her friendship with Haddy.

Haddy is one of the celebrity supporters of president Jammeh and her fiance of many years, Rafaat Al-Ahmar was recently conferred with a national award by the Gambian leader.

The owner of Absolute Glam travelled purposely to Gothenburg to spend time with Mama and her family. She seemed genuinely delighted to meet the Jammeh critic.

"Having a great time at the sister's Mama Linguere Sarr," Haddy wrote on Facebook.

Just a few days before her visit, Mama alleged that the Gambian economy is dead. Something Haddy might not agree with it. She built her own fortune inside The Gambia, organizing big concerts every year.
