A UK-based TV channel, ABN TV will soon start airing the first season of Rising Star Africa, which was won by gospel singer, Sunita Daffeh.
The founder and chief executive of the company behind the talent and reality show, Mariam Bangz told What’s On-Gambia: “I want people outside The Gambia to see how talented young Gambians are. ABN TV is happy to partner with us.”
ABN TVis one of the TV channels in the UK created to bridge the gap between the ethnic and mainstream broadcasting and in doing so, to reflect the interest and aspirations of the African-Caribbean, British and European communities in the UK.
Rising Star Africa is the first Gambian talent competition to be aired on British TV.
