The 2016 Coalition that ended Yahya Jammeh's 22-year-old rule and corruption in the Civil Service will be among the topics of debate as the leaders of the Citizens' Alliance and the People's Democratic Organisation for Independence and Socialism (PDOIS) face-off tonight on Paradise TV. 

It will be the first clash between two presidential aspirants as the country prepares for the December 4 presidential election, 

Harona Drammenh, a prominent journalist and CEO of Paradise TV & radio, will moderate the debate between Halifa and Dr. Ceesay. 

He disclosed on his Facebook page: "Saul Frazer and Global Properties-Gambia have committed to supporting the logistics to make it happen. It's tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, August 4th, 2021 at 6 pm. It will be a media event. All media houses are free to participate." 

Halifa's assistant, Kexx Sanneh said the PDOIS leader is looking forward to the debate, disclosing that Halifa accepted the invitation without hesitation. 

CA's Momodou Lamin Kanagie, a former classmate of Dr Ceesay, also said: "We are ready for the debate more than ever before. The spirit is higher than ever before."
