Yassin Jallow has been loudly applauded for feeding hundreds of Muslims during the recently concluded Ramadan.

The cookbook writer, who also runs a restaurant with her family, spent more than D400, 000 to provideiftar to less fortunate Gambians, including orphans at the Wulingkama Orphanage.

In a Facebook post, she wrote: “Thank you all for your donations!"

Yassin added: "We pray for better health and ability to continue with it next year. Thank you again to all the individual and business donors. May your ability to donate equally match your desire to do so.”

One of her Facebook followers, Peter Joseph Gabbidon said: “Well done keep up the good and noble gesture. God bless and reward you abundantly.”

One Oumie Andrews in the USA also commented: “ Well done my dear this was and will always be a very worthy cause. May Allah give you the strength to do it again. Thank you and your team for a job well done.”

This is the second year Yassin has helped feed the poor in the Greater Banjul Area with support from charitable Gambians.
