A woman has accused her husband of requesting a doctor to perform tubal ligation on her—without her consent—allegedly to prevent her from having more children so he could start a new family with his side chick.

Speaking to What’s On-Gambia, the woman claimed the incident occurred after she delivered their youngest child via cesarean section last year.

“My husband has been in a relationship with one Isatou Jallow for over a year,” she said. “After I gave birth through CS, he asked my doctor to tie my tubes so I wouldn’t be able to get pregnant again. He has a plan to marry her and have children with her.”

She added that just days after her delivery, while she was still recovering from surgery, her husband and the alleged side chick went to a hotel together. 

“My wounds were still fresh,” she said. “When I found out, I approached her woman-to-woman, and she promised to end things with him.”

However, the relationship reportedly resumed shortly after. “They kept getting back together. I confronted them multiple times and even considered moving back to my parents’ house,” she continued. “They stopped for a while, but recently started seeing each other again.”

Frustrated and emotionally drained, the woman now wants to bring the matter to public attention. “I have a nude photo of them together. If they push me, I’ll leak it online. I’m tired.”

She revealed that she and her husband have been married for 11 years and share four children.
