D Jobz joins campaign to end FGM by 2030

Renowned music business consultant and artist manager Dembo Jobarteh, widely known as D Jobz, has taken a stand in the fight to end female genital mutilation (FGM) in The Gambia by the year 2030.

D Jobz recently launched the country’s first-ever #HeForShe Music Movement—a bold five-year initiative aimed at promoting gender justice through the power of creative expression.

Speaking on the project, D Jobz said the movement will bring together Gambian artists and creatives to unite against sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV), with a special focus on empowering female artists who are disproportionately affected.

As the former manager of award-winning rapper ST and other top talents, D Jobz emphasized the urgent need to raise awareness within the music and arts sector.

He added that the initiative would also work to promote positive masculinity and challenge harmful cultural practices.

“With the support of our partners, we are committed to ending FGM in The Gambia by 2030,” he declared.
