A Grade 12 student from a senior secondary school on MDI Road (behind GRTS), confirmed to be over 18 years old, has been accused of pimping out her classmates to a Nigerian man.
One of the alleged victims, speaking on condition of anonymity, revealed that the student would send photos of her classmates to the man before introducing them to him.
"What she's doing is completely wrong," the victim stated. "She would connect us with the Nigerian man and then demand a share of whatever money he gave us."
The victim further disclosed that she received D4000 after engaging in a sexual encounter with the man.
"I was terrified, but I had no choice - I needed the money to repair my mobile phone," she admitted.
When informed by What’s On-Gambia that the allegations would be investigated, the victim pleaded, "We are about to sit for our WASSCE exams. I don't want to be expelled. Please don't report this to our school authorities."
She explained that the accused student introduced her to the Nigerian man because she knew she was not a virgin.
"She has already apologized for what she did," she said. "I don’t know about her, but for me, I just want to focus on my Grade 12 exams. In my family, I am the only one in school, and I don’t want to ruin my future. Please understand."
According to the victim, she is 21 years old and met the Nigerian man at a guesthouse in Sukuta, where they had sex.
"I have my own boyfriend," she added. "I only did it because I needed the money."
