Police officer accused of fathering two children with village girl in Lower Fulladu West

A married police officer (name withheld) stationed in Lower Fulladu West, Central River Region, is facing serious allegations after reportedly fathering two children with a village girl.

Speaking to What's On-Gambia, the girl’s brother, Abdoulie Jallow detailed how the affair first began in 2019, resulting in a pregnancy. “When I found out, I wanted to take legal action,” he said. “But my mother pleaded with me to let it go and forgive the officer.”

Not long after, the young woman married a Gambian living abroad. But she later became pregnant again. “When we questioned her about the father, she refused to reveal his identity," her brother explained.

Suspecting that the police officer might still be involved with his sister, he confronted him. “He denied it, but after doing some digging, I confirmed he was also the father of the second child. The resemblance between him and both children is undeniable,” he claimed. “This officer has caused immense pain to my family.”

The brother, who now considers himself the head of the family following the death of their father, expressed his frustration and desire for justice.

“He’s a married man with children, yet he’s destroying my sister’s life. We are Muslims, and he is a Christian. His surname is Mendy. I cannot accept this relationship," he said.
