UDP NAMs allegedly bought Oxford dictionaries to fight back against Halifa Sallah

Halifa Sallah has always been a headache to the United Democratic Party (UDP). Now, with his election to the National Assembly, that headache has developed into a brain tumour.

Rumour has it that some UDP National Assembly Members (NAMs) have bought Oxford English dictionaries to ratchet up their war of words with their outspoken political foe.

Commenting on the rumour, freelance journalist, Lamin Touray wrote on Facebook:  “Welcome to The New Gambia where partisan politics overrides national interests. I learn that some NAMs have bought new dictionaries only to challenge one man in the National Assembly. Have we elected you to legislate good laws or to challenge one man in the National Assembly?”

The UDP NAMs are yet to have a “proper clash” with Halifa in the National Assembly.
