CONFIRMED: An2 smashes attendance record at QCity

An2 Adi Sparky has made history by setting a new attendance record at QCity during his highly anticipated Fuwaro Legacy album launch concert.

The Tallinding-born singer, who left school to pursue a career in music, delivered an electrifying performance on Saturday at the country's largest entertainment venue in Bijilo.

Thousands of fans from across The Gambia flocked to witness the Hasidol hitmaker in action, filling the arena to capacity.

QCity, which has a capacity of over 10,000 attendees in total, was packed with an unprecedented crowd. Music lovers gathered in droves, eager to experience An2’s biggest concert yet.

The event was further elevated by performances from some of the country’s top artists, including Jizzle, ST, and Hussain Dada, who came out in full support of An2.

A QCity official confirmed the record-breaking feat, stating: "An2 is now our new record holder. He shattered ST and Hussain Dada's previous attendance records. The turnout was overwhelming—there was nearly a stampede at the entrance."

QTV journalist Mamadou Gagigo described the Fuwaro Legacy concert as "one of the most successful events QCity has ever hosted," praising An2's stellar performance and the energy of the night.

However, Gagigo also raised concerns about security measures, stating: "The security presence was excessive. It’s shocking that teargas was used. Fans who had purchased tickets and dressed up for the show faced serious challenges at the gate. Some were beaten, stamped on, slapped, and even tortured—all in the name of maintaining order."

An2 reportedly made over D10 million from the event.
