Mam Jarra Ndow, also known as Brownie, is urgently seeking help to locate her ex-boyfriend, Bakary Kamaso, who she alleges has been threatening her life following the end of their relationship.
In a message sent to What’s On-Gambia, Brownie revealed that despite reporting the threats to the Brikama Police Station, Kamaso has not yet been arrested.
“He’s threatening my life. I went to the police, but they couldn’t arrest him. I have all the voice notes and text messages he sent me,” she said.
When asked what led to the threats, Brownie explained that she ended the relationship due to ongoing abuse. “He was physically violent and verbally abusive. I couldn’t continue living in fear,” she added.
Efforts to locate Bakary have reportedly been unsuccessful. Brownie claimed he frequently changes his phone number and whereabouts, making it difficult for police to track him down.
“The police even contacted his mother, but she said she doesn’t know where he is,” she noted.
Brownie also expressed concern about threats to her reputation. “He said he would spread false information about me on social media. Just yesterday, he returned with some of his friends, and they were armed with knives and razor blades. He said he wanted to leave a permanent mark on my body.”
She further alleged that Bakary is involved in online scams, claiming he operates multiple Facebook accounts using photos of women to deceive and defraud men.
Brownie is appealing to the public for any information that could help locate Bakary, urging anyone who may know his whereabouts to contact the police immediately.
