Police in Brikama Madina have arrested a young man from Brikama Santo-su (name withheld) for allegedly raping and impregnating his younger sister.

According to sources, the girl's mother reported the matter to the police, leading to the brother's arrest and detention at the Madina Police Station.

During interrogation, the victim claimed that her brother raped her, resulting in her pregnancy. 

The brother, however, has denied the allegations, insisting that he did not have any sexual contact with his sister.

The case has been referred to the Child Welfare Unit at the Police Headquarters in Banjul for further investigation. The brother has not yet been formally charged with rape.
